Inside are a collection of a few poems, along with two short stories, as followed:

A post-apocalyptic world where most humans have been taken from this earth by an unknown, rabies-like virus, leaving pets to fend for themselves. In a world without humans, Rusty, a small red heeler mutt, must find the new meaning of family and a place to call his forever-home.
This story was written from the point of view of Rusty, the dog, as he encounters the raw elements and a harrowing journey across what seems to be the Pacific northwest.

A sick little girl who's protected by Ivy, her fluffy black cat, from the demons of the night. As the sun goes down, the shadows come creeping, and what lies in the dark doesn't seem so friendly. Born to be a sleepy house-cat, yet destined to save her girl, Ivy sets out every night to deter the shadow demons that want to take her little girl's soul.

This story was written in the point of view if Ivy, the cat, as she encounters the night creatures who've come to feed on her sick girl. Fighting them tooth and claw, she will never let them win.
